About Raja Mansingh Tomar Music & Arts University

An ordinance to establish and incorporate a teaching and residential university known as Raja Man Singh Music and Arts University in the State of Madhya Pradesh and to provide for the matters connected therewith and incidental thereto.
Establishment and incorporation of the University
(1) With effect from such date as the State Government may by notification, appoint there shall be established in the State of Madhya Pradesh a Music and Arts University by the name of the Raja Man Singh Tomar Music and Arts University.
(2) The University shall be a body corporate by the name aforesaid, having perpetual succession and common seal with power to acquire and hold property, to contract and shall sue and be sued by the said name.
(3) In all suits and other legal proceedings by or against the University, the pleadings shall be signed and verified by the Registrar or a representative appointed by him or by any person nominated by him for this purpose and all processes in such suits and proceedings shall be issued to and served on the Registrar.
(4) The headquarters of the University shall-be at Gwalior.
The objectives of the University shall be :-
(i) to advance and disseminate learning and knowledge of music and arts and their role in national development;
(ii) to develop in the students and research scholars a sense of responsibility to serve society in the field of music and arts by developing skills in regard to music and arts and related field.
(iii) to organize lectures, seminars, symposia and conferences to make music and arts efficient instruments of social development;
(iv) to hold examinations and confer and other academic distinctions;
(v) to do all such things as are incidental, necessary or conducive to the attainment of all or any of the objectives o the University.
