OPENMAT 2012 Description

Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) under its School of Management Studies (SOMS) every year holds an all-India entrance test (OPENMAT 2012 2012) for admission into its various distance-learning management programmes. In terms of the spread and enrolment, the IGNOU Management Programme is one of the leading Management Programmes in the world. OPENMAT 2012 2012 helds twice a year in February & August months. IGNOU was established through Indira Gandhi National Open University Act in 1985 as a means to provide higher education through distant and open means so as to reach a large number of students across the country.

OPENMAT 2012 2012 entrance examination is conducted by School of Management Studies (SOMS) of Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU). The All-India entrance test is conducted every year for admission into its various distance-learning management.

OPENMAT 2012 Eligibility

1. Common Eligibility:

• Graduation in any discipline with 50% marks for general Category and 45% for Reserved Category.
• Bachelors Degree with 3 years of supervisory/managerial/professional experience.
• Professional Degree in Engineering/Technology/Medicine/Architecture/Law/Pharmacy.
• Professional Qualifications in Accountancy/Cost and Works Accountancy/Company Secretaryship etc.
• A Masters Degree in any subject.

2. Clearance of OPENMAT 2012 2012 conducted by IGNOU.

Candidates who have successfully cleared the Entrance Test for admission into Management Programme conducted by the Institutions like CAT, MAT and State Level Tests need not appear in OPENMAT 2012 2012. The cut-off percentage for admission of these candidates will be decided by the university

3. Non- Graduates

Non-graduates (10+2 or equivalent) with six years of supervisory/managerial/professional experience are eligible for taking admission in Diploma in Management (DIM) only (after clearing the Entrance Test).

4. Age

There is no age bar.

5.Masters degree

Masters degree awarded without a first degree is not recognised for purposes of admission to IGNOU academic programmes.

OPENMAT 2012 Exam Pattern

• OPENMAT 2012 2012 is conducted every year.
• It is a written test, and you have to solve 300 question in 3 hours.
• Questions are divided into four sections: General Awareness, English Language, Quantitative Aptitude, and Reasoning.
• Each sections has different number of questions.
• There is negative marking in OPENMAT 2012 2012.

OPENMAT 2012 Fees Details

• Student Handbook Prospectus for Management Programme OPENMAT 2012 2012 can be obtained from the Registrar (SRD), IGNOU, Maidan Garhi, New Delhi- 110068 and from all the Regional Centres of IGNOU by paying Rs. 500 in cash at the respective sale counters.
• Application form and prospectus can also be downloaded from the website: www.ignou.ac.in and sent along with a DD/IPO for Rs.550/- in favour of IGNOU payable at New Delhi (in case of Openmat) and New Delhi/city of concerned Regional Centre (for Openden).

Importatnt Notes

The entrance exams will be held in 143 examination centres, accommodating 25,338 candidates. The hall tickets have already been dispatched to the candidates by the University. The particulars of the hall tickets are also available on www.ignou.ac.in . In case of non-receipt of the hall ticket, candidates can download the same from the IGNOU website by entering their Name and Date of Birth and report to the examination centre. In case the candidates are unable to download the hall ticket, they can contact their respective Regional Centres and obtain the examination centre allocated to them. In this case, candidates must report to the examination centre with a proof of submission of entrance test application form, along with a recent passport size photograph. Candidates will also have to submit an undertaking at the examination centre stating that if the information furnished by them is found to be incorrect, their candidature will be cancelled. Candidates must report at the examination centre 45 minutes before the commencement of the exam. The University has deputed central observers in all the 143 examination centres to ensure smooth conduct of the entrance test.

IGNOU OPENMAT 2012 2012 is an MBA Entrance Examinations held twice a year. The syllabus and sections of the OPENMAT 2012 2012 are similar to other MBA Entrance Exams.
