AIEEE 2011 Details
AIEEE 2011 Description
The All India Engineering Entrance Examination (AIEEE), is an examination organized by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) in India. Introduced in the year 2002, this national level competitive test is for admission to various under-graduate engineering and architecture courses in institutes accepting the AIEEE score, including 30 prestigious National Institutes of Technology (NITs). The examination is held on the last Sunday in April and results are announced near the end of May. Candidates are ranked on an all-India basis and also according to their position in state.

AIEEE 2011 Conducting Body
The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) conducts AIEEE.
AIEEE 2011 Eligibility
- The minimum academic qualification for admission through AIEEE one needs to pass in the final examination of 10+2 (Class XII) or its equivalent.
- Those appearing in 10+2 (Class XII) final or equivalent examination may also appear in AIEEE for consideration of provisional admission.
- For B.E. and B.Tech courses through AIEEE one needs to study subjects like physics and Mathematics and either Chemistry, Biotechnology, Computer Science or Biology.
- For B.Arch or B.Planning one needs to have mathematics as compulsory subject with at least 50 % marks in aggregate at 10+2 level. Candidate can avail maximum of four attempts in AIEEE.
AIEEE 2011 Exam Pattern
BE/B.Tech
Entrance examination is of 3 hours having objective questions from Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics with equal weightage given to each subject. Each question will have four options. There is a negative marking of 1/4th marks also for incorrect answers.
B.Arch/B.Planning
Entrance examination will be of 3 hours having three parts: Mathematics, Aptitude test and Drawing test. While Mathematics and Aptitude test will have objective questions, drawing test will have questions to check the drawing aptitude of a student.

AIEEE 2011 Extra Information
Application Procedure
Payment of Fee could be made by Demand Draft or Credit Card.
Steps to be followed if fee paid through Demand Draft
- If you want to remit the fee by Demand Draft, get ready before filling application form
- Logon to the AIEEE website, fill the application form, note down the registration number which would be generated by system that is required for making the payment of fee.
- Fill the details of Demand Draft.
- Take a printout of Confirmation Page and complete as per the instruction given below.
Steps to be followed if fee paid through Credit Card
- Keep the details of Credit Card (VISA/MasterCard) ready.
- Logon to the AIEEE website, fill the application form, note down the registration number which would be generated by system that is required for making the payment of fee.
- Make the payment through Credit Card and note down the payment receipt number, after successful payment of fee.
- Take a printout of Confirmation Page and complete as per the instruction given below.
- Note : Bank will charge 2% service/processing charges and service tax as applicable on transaction made by Credit card.
Photograph :
Paste your two recent photographs (as given in point 6 below), sign in the specified box and send this confirmation page along with Demand Draft (In case of Examination Fee deposited through Demand Draft) by Registered/Speed Post (NOT BY COURIER) to " The Assistant Secretary (AIEEE Unit), Central Board of Secondary Education, PS 1-2, Institutional Area, IP Extension,Patparganj, Delhi 110 092" for further processing so as to reach latest by end of Month of January. Application received beyond this date will not be accepted.
Firmly affix two recent high contrast passport size preferably black & white photograph (taken recently) with gum/fevicol (not to be pinned or stapled) in the space provided for it in the Application Form one duly attested by the head of the institution where the candidate is studying/passed class XII or the Gazatted officer. The photograph must indicate clearly the name of the candidate along with the date of taking the photograph. It should be without cap or goggles. Spectacles are allowed. Polaroid photos are not acceptable. The photograph of the candidate should be attested by the Principal/Head of the Institution or Gazetted Officer in such a way that part of the signature is on the photograph and remaining part of the signature is on the application form. Attestation should be done on the bottom part of the photograph so that the photograph is not defaced. Candidates not complying with these instructions or with unclear photograph are liable to be rejected. Candidates may keep 6-8 identical photographs in reserve for use at the time of entrance examination/Counselling/Admission.
Candidates submitting applications online for Offline (pen-paper mode) Examination are required
- to attach Demand Draft of required fee (In favour of “Secretary Central Board of Secondary Education,Delhi”, payable at Delhi).
- to mention his/her Registration No., Name, and Address on the back of the Demand Draft .
- to retain a photocopy of confirmation page for future reference.
- to retain a photocopy of the Demand Draft sent.
- to retain a photocopy of the transaction receipt if fee paid by Credit Card.
- to retain the original receipt issued by the post office for having dispatch the Application Form.
- the processing of applications will begin only after receiving confirmation page and fee (by Credit Card or by Demand Draft).
Candidates submitting applications online for Online Examination are required
