The Jammu and Kashmir Board of Professional Entrance Examinations 2012 Common Entrance Test is also known as BPEE CET. It is held for admission in various undergraduate and postgraduate professional courses in the state.

JnK-BPEE-CET 2012 Description

A Common Entrance Test is conducted by the Board of Professional Entrance Examinations (BPEE) in the State of Jammu & Kashmir by an Act of the State Legislative. Under the Act, the Board is assigned with chore of conducting entrance tests and selection of candidates for admission to various professional courses in the State of Jammu and Kashmir. The purpose of conducting the Common Entrance Test is for determining eligibility / merit of students seeking admission to undergraduate medical, dental, engineering and agriculture courses. Both the Government aided and affiliated private institutions in J&K will accept the merit ranking of CET for admission into various programs.

JnK-BPEE-CET 2012 Conducting Body

Jammu Kashmir Board of Professional Entrance Examinations (BPEE) conducts this entrance test for admission in several undergraduate and postgraduate professional courses in Jammu and Kashmir state.

JnK-BPEE-CET 2012 Eligibility

Educational Qualification
The minimum academic qualification for admission through CET is a pass in the final examination of 10+2 (Class XII) with not less than 50% marks in aggregate (40% for reserved categories) from a recognised Board of Secondary Education, J&K or an equivalent examination from a recognized statutory Board or University.

For MBBS, BDS, BVSC, Animal Husbandry, BUMS and BAMS Courses
Candidates seeking admission to MBBS, BDS, BVSC, Animal Husbandry, BUMS and BAMS courses should have passed the HSC examination with English, Physics, Chemistry and Biology as elective subjects.

For B.Sc Agriculture and B.Sc Forestry courses
A pass in HSC examination with English, Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics or Biology as their elective subjects is must .

For Bachelor of Engineering Courses
The candidate should have passed 10+2 examination with English , Physics, Chemistry and Maths as their elective subjects.

Domicile Restrictions
Candidate must be a permanent resident of the State Jammu & Kashmir.

Age Limit
The applicants who desirous to appear in the CET must be 17 years of age on or before 31st of December of the year in which he / she applies for entrance test for admission to MBBS, BDS, BUMS and BAMS courses. Meanwhile candidate seeking admission to BUMS must be of 17 years old on or before 1st October of the year in which he / she takes entrance test for admission.

JnK-BPEE-CET 2012 Exam Pattern

Jammu and Kashmir Common Entrance Examination shall consist of 3 papers of objective type questions containing multiple choice questions.
Each paper will have 75 questions.
The questions are based on knowledge, understanding and application of the relevant subject.
Each question carries one mark and all questions are compulsory.
There is no negative marking.

JnK-BPEE-CET 2012 Syllabus

Candidates should have sound knowledge of the followin topics in their respective subjects:
Topics in Mathematics
Algebra, two dimensional geometry, trigonometry, determinants and matrices, vectors, three dimensional geometry, probability, elementary statistics and dynamics are the topics included in the syllabus.

Topics in Biology
Physiology of plants, reproduction, development and growth of plants, morphology of plants and genetics, diversity of life and plant classification, ecology environment and biology in human welfare, taxonomy, morphology, anatomy and physiology, cell biology and genetics, origin of life and evolution.

Topics in Physics
Units and dimensions and their applications, Elastic properties, Kinetic theory of gases, Center of mass of two particle system, Periodic motion, Coulomb’s law, Electric current, Biot-Savart’s law, Induced EMF, Electromagnetic oscillation, Photoelectric effect, Energy bands in solids, etc.

Topics in Chemistry
Chemical Bonding and Molecular structure, Periodic Properties, Surface chemistry, States if Matter, Redox Reactions and Electrochemistry, Energetic and Chemical Thermodynamics, Solutions, Chemical Kinetics, Chemical Equilibrium, Chemical Arthematic, Atomic structure and Nuclear Chemistry.

sir,does the given syllabus cover the whole syllabi for cet 2012 exams?
Nd plz tell me when and whre from i hv to collect forms for submission in sopore ..thanq nd oblige:)
