Nepal's final secondary school exams saw a minimal dip today with 41.57 per cent students passing the tests as compared to 47.76 per cent last year. Nepal's Education Ministry published the results of the School Leaving Certificate (SLC) Examinations. Out of the total 547,165 students who appeared in the exams, 167,935 have passed the exams. A total of 16,924 students has passed with distinction. 76,165 secured first division marks, 69,830 secured second division and the rest 5,016 passed with third division.
The chase for admissions into top engineering colleges affiliated to the Rajasthan Technical University has begun. The process has commenced from June 10 and the session will begin from August 1. RTU offers courses in 26 branches. Core branche is Electronics and Communication (EC) with a maximum of 14,500 seats and Computer science, another favourite, is lagging behind with 11,453 seats. Nearly 60,000 students, both in regular and ex-regular streams, will write the HSC supplementary exams (State Matriculation Supplementary examinations-2013) in Odisha which are beginning tomorrow. The examinations would continue till June 21. The State Board of Secondary Education (BSE), would hold the supplementary examinations in 271 centers across the state..
