The Indira Gandhi Open University (IGNOU) is likely to introduce Marathi as a medium for writing exams starting next year. Rural students, who are not well-versed in English and Hindi, may get a huge relief with the option of writing exams in Marathi. "There are 12 courses in agriculture and most students who opt for them are from rural areas. Hence, we thought of introducing Marathi as the medium of writing answers for some exams," said Kalpana S Gupte, regional director of the Indira Gandhi Open University . Agartala, IANS : Students caught ragging other students in any educational institutions in Tripura will be get a maximum of four years in prison and a fine, a government notification said here Wednesday. A Tripura government notification said that "under the Tripura Educational Institutions (Prevention of Ragging) Act, 1990, four years in jail and a fine would be imposed" on a student found guilty of ragging another student". Amik Mandal, a eighth class student of a school in Durgapur has won the third prize at "NASA Space Settlement Contest" organized jointly by the NASA of USA and AMES Research Centre in California our of nearly 600 submissions on the topic. Jharkhand Secondary board annouced results last week. Students can check their result online at http://jharresults.nic.in/jac32715854_result.htm More than 73% percent students passed the exam. This is about 5% higher than last years 68% passing of candidate.

  The Gujarat HSC Results 2013 were declared at 10 am on Monday, May 13 2013.
